GOURMET LOVERS CHRISTMAS SUPPER CLUB

Saturday December 11th we hosted our first ever supper club. 20 people, 7 courses with a menu
based on Christmas dinners of the world. We incorporated traditional christmas flavours from Sweden, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, France, England and Poland. Tying all the dishes together with similar festive flavours to create a wonderful Christmas dinner. Complete with mulled wine, home made christmas crackers (featuring my fudge!) and for entertainment a live art piece by Jonna Bjornstjerna. I've posted the time lapse video of the picture as it came together at the bottom of this post.

We'll be posting Porchetta recipe as well as the deconstructed pavlova and the home made fudge but for the moment here is the full menu we served along with photos.

We are really happy with how the dinner went and would love to do it again soon. It was actually far  easier to pull off than our brunch club because we had the whole day to prepare. It wasn't without its stresses though leading up to it and on the day -  we had to keep running to the shops do get things we'd forgotten, we didn't really know what we were doing with the herring until we served it and there was a slight problem of an exploding oven -  but thats another story.

Check out the video below of Jonnas art coming together, big thanks to Dan for putting this together.

See you soon for more Gourmet Lovers brunchs and dinners
